Christmas Traditions Around the World
- In Argentina, it is said that every family's mother or grandmother gives pink lingerie as a gift. It was believed that this gift given to wear on New Year's Eve made women more attractive.
- Our next tradition comes from Barcelona. This tradition of dressing a wooden log with a Catalan red hat and giving the log a smiley face represents the Catalan Santa Claus. In addition, children need to keep an eye on this log, which they call Caga Tio, by feeding them nougat and wrapping them in blankets throughout Christmas. If all of these were done, this log would come alive at the end of Christmas and distribute gifts to the children.
